What it is for. As a functional group 2b flavouring additive, it is generally used to impart or standardise an aromatic note in compound feed. It is authorised for all animal species except poultry and fish, and must be incorporated via a premix.
Points to watch. The recommended maximum content of active substance is 25 mg per kg of complete feed at 12 % moisture, for all species except poultry and fish; exceeding this via premix dosing requires specific labelling.
